Itinerary

Day 1 | Overnight Flight to Greece (Athens)

Depart for Greece on an overnight flight to Athens, the cradle of Western civilization. Prepare for an unforgettable journey through history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes.

Day 2 | Yassou Athens

Upon arrival in Athens, meet your Tour Director and check into your hotel. Begin your introduction to the city with a guided Athens city walk through the historic Plaka district, nestled at the foot of the Acropolis. Wander narrow, winding streets lined with wrought-iron balconies, blooming geraniums, and traditional tavernas that echo with Greek music and dance. Continue to the monumental Temple of Olympian Zeus, whose massive columns reveal the scale of ancient ambition, and view Hadrian’s Arch, a triumphal gateway that once marked the boundary between ancient and Roman Athens.

Day 3 | Athens

Discover the evolution of Athens on a guided sightseeing tour led by a licensed local guide. Visit the iconic Acropolis, home to the Parthenon and the Temple of Athena Nike, towering above the city for more than 2,000 years. Learn how architecture, politics, and religion intertwined at the heart of classical Athens while taking in sweeping views of the modern city below. Continue to Syntagma Square, where you’ll see the Parliament building and the ceremonial changing of the guards, before relaxing at Omonia Square, one of Athens’ main gathering points. In the evening, enjoy a Plaka treasure hunt, an interactive scavenger hunt that brings history to life through teamwork, problem-solving, and exploration.

Day 4 | Athens → Delphi

Travel north to Delphi for a guided sightseeing tour of what the ancient Greeks believed to be the center of the world. Explore the dramatic ruins set against the slopes of Mount Parnassus, including the legendary Temple of Apollo, where priestesses once delivered prophecies inspired by the god himself. Take in the breathtaking mountain views that have inspired travelers for centuries.

Day 5 | Delphi → Tolo (via Olympia)

Journey through the Greek countryside to Olympia for a guided visit to Ancient Olympia, the birthplace of the Olympic Games. Stroll among the ruins of temples, training grounds, and the original stadium, surrounded by olive trees and flowing rivers. The site’s peaceful beauty and athletic legacy offer a powerful glimpse into ancient Greek ideals.

Day 6 | Tolo → Athens

Return to Athens with stops along the way for a Mycenae & Epidaurus guided excursion. Visit Epidaurus, home to a remarkably preserved 4th-century BC amphitheater renowned for its perfect acoustics. Continue to Mycenae, once a powerful Bronze Age city, where you’ll explore the citadel and imagine the legendary world of Agamemnon and Homer’s epics. View the impressive Corinth Canal, a narrow passage connecting the Aegean and Ionian seas.

Day 7 | Athens

Spend the day cruising the sparkling waters of the Saronic Gulf on a full-day island-hopping excursion. Visit the charming islands of Hydra, Poros, and Aegina, each offering its own unique character, history, and seaside beauty. Enjoy a relaxing day at sea with stunning coastal views and island exploration.

Day 8 | Athens

Travel along the coast to Cape Sounion for a guided excursion to the dramatic Temple of Poseidon, perched high above the Aegean Sea. Built in the 5th century BC, the temple’s marble columns rise against sweeping ocean views, creating one of Greece’s most serene and iconic landscapes. This peaceful setting offers a memorable contrast to the energy of Athens.

Day 9 | Flight Home from Athens

Transfer to the airport for your flight home, departing Greece with lasting memories of ancient wonders, island beauty, and unforgettable cultural experiences.
